The dining options that are available in modern-day society are endless. Let us go back 20 to 30 years. If you wanted fast food, you had McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Burger King, Arby’s, and a handful of other options. Nowadays, I am not going to even begin to list them all because they’re so many, and the food options have become healthier and more diversified. Although these types of places give you solid food options at affordable prices, there are times you want to splurge and treat yourself to something a little higher end. Breakneck Tavern may be what the doctor ordered.

The Food – Breakneck Tavern features Farm to Table and sustainable seafood options. The appetizers go above your traditional bar food options. Options such as Crab Dip, Seared Scallops, Spicy Calamari, etc., sets the tone for a more upscale dining experience. Main dishes include steaks such as Filet Mignon and NY Strip. Seafood dishes include Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Shrimp and Grits, and Salmon. If you are looking for something more traditional, they have Grilled Flatbread Pizzas, Burgers, and Sandwiches. The Ambience – If ambience is what you are looking for in a restaurant, this place will deliver. The restaurant is situated next to Breakneck Creek beside the railroad tracks. It was once nicknamed the Breakneck Valley by the railroad companies that transported goods. The décor honors this history by showcasing painted murals, railroad rail, railroad spikes, and antique barn doors. The front of the bar is built of reclaimed lumber from a building that occupied the property previously to the restaurant being built. They also have plenty of outdoor seating. Upon arrival, the design catches your attention immediately.
