LOOKING for a DELI WITH AMAZING FOOD in PITTSBURGH’S SOUTH SIDE?

Carson Street Deli’s goal is to provide an upscale, yet informal dining experience. They use fresh and a lot of times locally sourced ingredients. Some say they have some of the best sandwiches in the Steel City. Let us explore!

The food – Carson Street Deli lets you create your own sandwich. They give you the option of picking your bread, protein, cheese, veggies, and condiments. Check their menu for the specific options. Signature sandwiches that caught my interest are the “Balboa” which features a slew of aged Italian meats. It is loaded with Genoa & hard salami, spicy capicola, sopressata, prosciutto, provolone & roasted peppers, which is then finished with oil & oregano on a baguette. The Dizzy Lizzy is interesting in that it has grilled chicken tossed in curry mango sauce with creamy Cole slaw, sliced almonds & dried cranberries all wrapped in a pita. The New Yorker has lean corned beef & pastrami, melted Swiss, & spicy brown mustard on a grilled marble rye.
