The Foundary Tap & Table

ONE of MOST SCENIC VIEWS of PITTSBURGH and UNIQUE AMBIENCE MAKES THIS RESTAURANT a POPULAR NORTH SHORE DESTINATION

Rated as one of Pittsburgh’s hottest restaurants, there is a lot of buzz around the Foundry Tap & Table. This is not somewhere that I would typically recommend due to fear of small portions, but the food is delicious, and it has great ambience located directly on the Allegheny River Walk.

The food – Start out with an appetizer such as the Meat & Cheese Board. It features local artisanal cheeses and charcuterie along with assorted dipping sauces/condiments.

The Foundry has a generous sized burger. Most burgers at restaurants feature 6-to-8-ounce burger patties. The Foundry has a 10-ounce grass-fed beef patty, BBQ sauce, bourbon aioli, caramelized onions, aged cheddar cheese, and is housed on a brioche bun. It is around $20; however, it is a nice portion!

Entrees – Choose from a BBQ half chicken, Rainbow Trout, Gumbo, or a Spring Rice Bowl.

My Final Take

This is a place that if you are into modern and trendy you will love. Once again, some of the newer places concern me with what you pay and how much food you get. Overall, it is worth stopping if you are in the North Shore area. I took my Wife here and she loved it. A happy wife is a happy life, right?
