ROADHOUSE IN BURGETTSTOWN, PA PROVIDES DELICIOUS FOOD and GREAT CONVERSATION to RESIDENTS, BIKERS, and HUNTERS, and OFFERS A GREAT PRE-GAME SPOT if you are ATTENDING A CONCERT at The PAVILLION at STAR LAKE

Geographically situated just over twenty miles from downtown Pittsburgh, Burgettstown, Pennsylvania is most notably known for the Pavilion at Star Lake, which is a 23,000-seat, outdoor, open-air amphitheater that entertains concerts throughout the summer season. It is also the hometown of former Wisconsin University head football coach Barry Alvarez, and former Major League Baseball player, Joe Tepsic. Burgettstown also has a hidden gem tucked away just off route 30 US-22 in the Bavington Roadhouse. It is here where the food is underrated, the portions are large, and the whiskey flows like water. Let us dive in!

Appetizers – Whether you are looking to start your meal off or are getting hungry from enjoying drinks and great conversations with friends, Bavington Roadhouse has an extensive appetizer list. If you are looking for something simple, try their hot cheese balls, fried zucchini, or pepperoni cheese bites. Take it up a notch and go with their famous boneless wings or one of their Roadhouse fry specialties such as fries with ranch, bacon, cheese, and chili.

Sandwiches and burgers – Places like this always have great sandwiches with ample toppings. Locals are raving about the Steak and Cheese and Philly Steak. The Steak and Cheese features grilled steak, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and A1 sauce. The Roadhouse has American and Swiss Cheese, grilled steak, bacon, sauteed onions and hot peppers, lettuce, tomato, and is finished with a house made Roadhouse sauce. If you are looking for a burger, go with their “BR” Burger. It has gourmet asiago seasoning, sauteed onions, ham, bacon, and an egg, and is topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

Pizza and calzones (captioned) – Bavington Roadhouse is also known for tasty pizza. You can get traditional pizzas with toppings of your choice, or a specialty pizza such as the Steak and Ranch, Meat lovers or Buffalo Ranch and Chicken pizza. The calzones (captioned) are enormous. The dough is rich, they are greasy but in an effective way, and includes your choice of toppings. You know something is authentic when the owner brings you a to go container at the beginning of your meal for half of the calzone as most people cannot finished the whole thing.

Entrees – Bavington’s entrees include a Slovenian Chicken Dinner which is four pieces of Slovenian garlic chicken. The Seafood Dinner has breaded fish, fantail shrimp, clams, and smelts served with cocktail and tartar sauce. All entrees are served with fries and coleslaw.

My final take

The Washington County area is known being hard working. Most people in this area do not want overly priced drinks or expensive food with diminishing value. What they do want is fair prices on food and drink for their hard-earned money. Bavington Roadhouse caters to its customers and delivers on these principles. As their slogan says, stop in for “good food, good friends, good times.”
