My love says I have a gift, I can sniff out hidden gems that showcase amazing grub for reasonable prices. I can’t explain it, but there’s a formula in terms of the character of a restaurant, how the menu looks, or is there a hard, working-class clientele/regulars. You may not expect to find a place like this in Wexford. As you can imagine, when I found this establishment, we were firing on all cylinders darting to get there.
Arguably one of the most I interesting sandwiches I’ve ever encountered, and a staple on their menu since it’s inception, the Texas Melt. Starts with rich, buttery Texas Toast. Thin cut, juicy steak. Smoked turkey. A rather unorthodox selection of Colby Jack cheese. Bacon, lettuce, and tomato. The combo, one of the most unique I’ve ever seen. Absolutely delicious, and light!
