Pittsburgh’s Southside, specifically, Carson Street… It’s arguably Pittsburgh’s premier spot for Night Life. I figured it would only be fitting to include, “Ms. Fieri”, in this much-anticipated review. I feel like there’s a small window for the Friday and Saturday “Late Nights” in the Southside, maybe between the ages of 21 to 25, but I’ve always enjoyed heading there because it’s always buzzing with energy and entertainment. For literally a decade, I’ve been wanting to eat here. So many people from the Tri-State area have nothing but good things to say about this place. First, take the atmosphere. It keeps up with the times but still keeps an old-school feel. As we know, old things have character. If you like a Craft Beer Selection, they have a ton of them. Fat Head’s is known for their massive Sandwich’s, in particular, their famous “Headwiches”. Let’s break this sandwich down. I went with the Jack-O. The Steak, tender and flavorful as well as ample. Points for roasted red peppers, green peppers are great but it gives it more flavor and sweetness. A Sharp Cheddar Cheese gives it some bite, along with Onion Rings and a House Made Ranch. The Bun fits the Sandwich, it’s durable enough to protect it, but is still somewhat light and not filling. I also like the fact that even though it’s a Large Size Sandwich, it’s not in the “ridiculous mode” where it is hard to eat. Overall, I give Fat Head’s a 9 out of 10. Why do you ask, it’s strictly an opinion, however, I like fries with a Burger and Sandwich and not chips. Other than that, a great dining experience. Service was top notch and everyone was friendly. It’s no secret, this place lives up to the hype…
