Beaver County, Pennsylvania. As they say, “divided by its rivers, united by its people”. A tough, hard-working, blue-collar county that once hosted the largest steel mill in the world. Jones and Laughlin Steel that stretched 7 miles down the Ohio River. I am proud to be born and raised in Beaver County, so anytime I get a chance to visit my roots, I think about stopping for arguably one of the best pizzas in the Burgh. Let us dig in, shall we?

First things first, the quality of the ingredients is top-notch. Everything is homemade and the ingredients are top quality. The crust is thick and lighter and crispier than most, which creates a solid base. The sauce is traditional and flavorful. You get loads of cheese on top of the Sicilian, square-shaped pizza and we always get pepperoni and sausage. Their sausage is crumbled, which, in my opinion, is the best. Who doesn’t like scraping the crumbs off the bottom of the pizza box when you are finished eating?

The X factor… Now I am going to go into what makes Police Station Pizza different than most. Anytime I’ve been to Police Station, it’s packed. People know good food. They get you in and out quickly and the way you order is unique. They ask, “How many? Toppings?” and even in a crowded room, they’ll remember which pizza you ordered.

You can also order pizza unbaked and cook it yourself at home. The amount of toppings you get when you order unbaked is more than generous. They provide tons of un-melted cheese to add at home to mimic the feeling of do-it-yourself pizza.

Summary

As always, my final take. If you are from Beaver County or even the Pittsburgh Area, most people know about Police Station Pizza. It is a throwback, but because of it is amazing quality and efficiency, it withstands the test of time and change. When I venture back to Beaver County, I literally see some of the same faces working there since I was little. In my opinion, this place has reached legendary status. Keep doing what you are doing, you are and will always be, simply amazing! Beaver County, America’s County…
