The Food – Almost anything within reason is made in-house and made from scratch. It is like the old saying goes, “you plant corn, you get corn”. The owner takes great pride in making sure he purchases the best ingredients. Start out with an appetizer to share. The Zucchini Planks are homemade, just the right consistency, and hand-breaded to perfection. Enjoy a Pittsburgh Style Salad topped with Steak or Chicken, with house-made French fries that are not dry, but not too greasy either. They also have great sandwiches, wraps, and pasta dishes. If you are in the mood for a steak, you have come to the right place as they are aged, and hand-cut by the owner himself. The menu gives you plenty of options but is simple which makes selecting a dish easy. The Burger – Legend has it that this is one of the most underrated Burgers in the Pittsburgh Metro (captioned). It lives up to the hype, and I will break down exactly why. The patty is not ground meat, it is ground steak at an 80/20 blend. The key to most meats is making sure it does not dry out. This blend gives you enough fat to keep the burger juicy. Take the first bite, the juice pours out. Add your favorite toppings with an option to add an egg cooked to your liking. Finally, protect the patty and toppings with a toasted, buttery, Brioche Bun, delicious. Try it, you will see!

My final take. The owner and staff go above and beyond the call of duty to serve the customer and make you feel at home. Upon entry, the owner gives you the breakdown of the menu, the drink specials, and answers any questions you may have. He understands the critical aspect of going above and beyond for the customer, and they will come back. Repeat patronage can be such an overlooked business aspect today. Passion for exceptional food and unbelievable hospitality is a recipe for success, and this establishment nails it. From the time you enter to the time you leave; they truly make you feel at home.
